AI BUSINESS CONSULTANCY

Know where AI can make a useful difference.

You can see the potential. The harder question is where it fits in your business, what is worth investing in and what needs to change first.

I help you understand the opportunities in your operations and turn them into a practical plan, with clear priorities, success measures and next steps.

Growth is exposing the gaps in how the business works.

Perhaps your team is already experimenting with AI, but you cannot yet see how those individual efforts add up to a better business. Or perhaps you know where work gets held up but need help deciding what to do about it.

This is a useful place to start if:

  • Too much routine work and decision-making still comes back to you.
  • Your people move information between systems by hand.
  • Administration is growing alongside revenue.
  • Reporting takes too much effort and still leaves unanswered questions.
  • You have several AI ideas but no clear way to choose between them.

We start with the pressure you want to relieve and the improvement that would matter to your business.

Understand the business before choosing the solution.

How work actually gets done

We look at the people, steps and handovers behind a process, including the workarounds that keep it moving.

Where information lives

We examine the systems, documents and business knowledge people rely on, and where gaps or duplication create extra work.

What is ready to change

We consider your existing tools, data, team capacity and current use of AI. This helps distinguish an achievable first step from an idea that needs more preparation.

What improvement is worth pursuing

We weigh potential value against effort, cost and uncertainty. Better processes, existing software, automation and AI can all have a role.

A clear basis for deciding what happens next.

The scope is agreed around your business. A consultancy engagement typically brings together:

A findings summary

The main constraints, information gaps and dependencies affecting the work we have reviewed.

Prioritised opportunities

A shortlist assessed against likely value, feasibility and readiness, with the assumptions made explicit.

Success measures

What to measure now and what would indicate an improvement, such as time per task, rework, response time or reporting effort.

An implementation roadmap

Recommended first steps, dependencies, responsibilities and decisions needed before work begins.

You can use the plan to decide what to commission, what to handle internally and what to leave until later.

When winning more work also creates more work.

Problem

A growing agency finds that every new client adds more briefing, reporting and coordination. Senior people spend increasing amounts of time filling the gaps.

Approach

Review one client journey, identify repeated administration and unclear handovers, then assess where simpler processes, connected tools or AI assistance could help.

Intended outcome

A prioritised plan for handling more work with less avoidable administration, and a clear first improvement to test.

Illustrative scenario, not a client case study or a claim of measured results.

Advice grounded in running a business.

I’m Mass. I’ve spent 23 years founding and running businesses, working across sales, finance, marketing, technology and operations.

I know that a recommendation is only useful if it makes sense commercially and works for the people who have to put it into practice. That is the perspective I bring to understanding where AI can help.

Common questions

Do we need to know what we want to automate?

No. You can start with a business problem, a process that takes too much time or a sense that your current way of working is becoming difficult to sustain.

Can we commission consultancy without implementation?

Yes. Consultancy can be a standalone piece of work. If you want help delivering the recommendations, we can agree a separate implementation scope.

Will we need to replace our existing software?

That depends on what we find. We begin by understanding what you already use and whether it can support the improvement before recommending additional tools or changes.

What if AI is not the best answer?

The recommendation should reflect the problem. Sometimes clearer ownership, a simpler process or an existing software feature is the most useful first step.
